General Maintenance Technician

Summary:

This position is responsible for all functions listed below as a maintenance technician within the Mette Cabinets & Countertops facility, while working with the team to efficiently troubleshoot and repair equipment, ensuring orders are being produced on time.


Duties

  1. Inspect production machines, perform manual repairs when necessary and schedule repairs if needed.
  2. Perform regular building repairs and maintenance, including basic electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and light carpentry.
  3. Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  4. General grounds maintenance, mowing, landscaping, snow removal, etc.
  5. Manage inventory and stock repair parts vital to production.
  6. Provide technical support to our machine operators.
  7. Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for machines and processes.
  8. Daily collaboration with employees and management staff.
  9. Document and report accurate logs of maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Certificate in maintenance or a relevant field is a plus.
  2. Minimum two years of experience as a maintenance technician.
  3. Knowledge of basic hand, power, pneumatic tools devices.
  4. Good at problem solving and have a strong work ethic.
  5. Able to work independently, and also a team environment.
  6. Demonstrate good judgment and have a positive can-do attitude.

Scheduling

This position is a full-time position. Consisting of 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday.

Pay Range: $25.00-$30.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
