our history
John and Janice Mette started Mette’s in 1981. Eventually, their children Julie, Don, Bob, and Alan all joined the business. The business first opened in Mattoon, IL. and in 1985, the business moved to Effingham, IL. Today, the business is constantly growing and adapting to new technologies that have been introduced to the industry. John and Janice’s grandchildren have embraced the family business ensuring quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction remain the cornerstone of Mette Cabinets & Countertops into the future.
